Northern unveils the next evolution of three of its most recognisable collections—Tradition, Snowball, and Glint. Each new design builds on a familiar silhouette while introducing fresh materiality, scale, and function. From knitted textile forms to portable lighting and atmospheric wall fixtures, this year’s releases reflect Northern’s commitment to refined simplicity and meaningful design.

Tradition Linear Pendant Light

A sculptural reinterpretation of the original, the Tradition Linear Pendant stretches the soft knitted shade across a slim white frame. It offers both outward glow and downward illumination through a hidden LED, bringing warmth and clarity to kitchen islands, dining settings, and workspaces. With its elongated form and subtle presence, it’s ideal for interiors that call for visual impact without visual weight.

Tradition Floor Lamp

Combining scale and softness, the Tradition Floor Lamp offers a grounded take on the series’ textile language. The voluminous knitted shade sits atop a slender metal base, creating ambient light suited to living rooms, lobbies, and lounge spaces. Its oversized shape adds presence, while its materiality lends quiet tactility and comfort

 

Tradition Table Lamp

This compact version of Tradition translates the signature shade into a smaller, more adaptable format. Designed for side tables, shelves, or hotel settings, the Tradition Table Lamp delivers diffused lighting with built-in dimming and a lightweight profile. The tactile textile shade softens the overall effect, adding warmth to any surface it sits on.

 

Snowball Portable Floor Lamp

One of the few cordless floor lamps available, the Snowball Portable Floor Lamp merges classic form with contemporary flexibility. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, it features USB-C charging, a three-step touch dimmer, and finishes in brass or grey-beige. Its clean silhouette makes it ideal for balconies, lounges, or anywhere ambient light is needed—no outlets required.

Snowball Portable Table Lamp

With the same timeless silhouette in a more compact and portable form, the rechargeable Snowball Portable Table Lamp offers flexible light for modern spaces. Touch-dimming and cordless design make it perfect for dining tables, terraces, or shelves. Available in brass or grey-beige, it’s an elegant, versatile companion across settings.

Glint Opal Wall Light

Now available in a new mouth-blown opal glass finish and compact size, Glint continues to explore the relationship between light, surface, and atmosphere. The glass diffuser softens the light while casting subtle patterns on surrounding walls. Whether used alone or in multiples, it blends form and function with understated elegance.

Glint Wall Light

Designed by Felix Isidorsson, the Glint Wall Light explores light’s quiet ability to shape mood and surface. For 2025, the collection introduces a new small size, expanding its versatility in compact spaces. Offered in brushed brass or black, the smaller version brings the same ambient quality and refined materiality as the original.

 

Each new release adds depth to Northern’s existing collections, responding to how and where we live today. Portable, sculptural, and material-driven, these designs offer fresh possibilities while staying true to the spirit of the originals.
