Karman News 2026
LightCo is excited to unveil the latest 2026 collection from Karman, “Reflections of Light”. Founded in Fossombrone, Italy in 2005, the brand's newest releases explore light, material, and form through a design language defined by narrative expression and precise Italian craftsmanship.
The 2026 collections continue the evolution of Karman's distinct approach, with new collections including Opium, Lateris, Groove, Smug, Kurore, Blanco Puro, and Ululi Ulula, alongside exciting releases within existing collections such as the striking Alibaglass Black and the Lilly Alabastro. From the architectural rigour of Lateris's modular brick-like forms to the dreamlike weightlessness of Opium's clustered glass spheres, each piece is a considered response to material, scale, and atmosphere, refined through a distinctly Italian sensibility.
Opium
Opium, designed by Edmondo Testaguzza, is a suspended composition of glass spheres of varying sizes arranged in a balanced interplay of form and transparency. The integrated light source within the central body delivers a soft, even diffusion, allowing the glass elements to glow gently while maintaining visual lightness. Whether installed individually or as clustered compositions, Opium introduces a sense of rhythm and softness to residential and hospitality settings, a calm, immersive presence where light feels almost intangible.
Lateris
Designed by Debona & Demeo, Lateris translates the familiar geometry of brickwork into a modular family of architectural lighting fixtures. Each polyhedral element acts as a "brick of light," available across ceiling, pendant, wall, and outdoor wall configurations, delivering diffused illumination with a strong visual rhythm through repetition and form. Its structured yet adaptable system suits minimalist residential interiors, hotel lobbies, and design-led commercial settings — extending its consistent visual language to exterior applications through the outdoor wall variant.
Groove
Designed by Edmondo Testaguzza, Groove presents lighting as a precise architectural line. Formed from an anodised aluminium profile, it integrates a ribbed glass diffuser etched with fine longitudinal textures that shape and refract light with subtle complexity. The result is a linear pendant that emits a controlled, refined glow while maintaining a light, minimal profile — ideal for kitchen islands, workspaces, and dining environments where clean geometry and consistent light output are essential.
Smug
Designed by Edmondo Testaguzza, Smug is a collection of pendant lights and ceiling lights with a cylindrical form paired with finely textured anodised aluminium detailing in black or gold. Each diffuser appears to emit light from within — contained, then released — lending the collection its quiet, magnetic character. Available in two sizes across both pendant and ceiling configurations, Smug suits residential and hospitality interiors where refined material contrast draws the eye and leaves a lasting impression.
Kurore
Kurore is a sculptural, love-heart shaped table lamp crafted from resin and available in a selection of bold finishes. Its distinctive form transforms a familiar symbol into a refined lighting object, with dimmable functionality making it suitable for ambient lighting across living spaces, bedrooms, and curated commercial environments. Compact in scale, Kurore works equally well as a feature piece or as part of a layered lighting composition, a playful exploration of the way light can give form to emotion and presence within a space.
Alongside these collections, three further releases extend Karman's exploration of material, form, and atmosphere.
Blanco Puro
Blanco Puro is a refined pendant that reduces lighting to its purest form. Crafted from matte white aluminium, its softly curved disc-like elements appear to float effortlessly, directing light upward and reflecting illumination gently off the ceiling to produce an even, ambient glow. Its restrained form sits quietly within contemporary interiors, complementing rather than competing with surrounding architecture — calm, diffused, and uninterrupted.
Ululi Ulula
Ululi Ulula, designed by Matteo Ugolini, is a collection of spherical lighting forms crafted from white-painted fibreglass. Inspired by the quiet presence of the moon, each piece emits a warm amber glow that feels both grounded and ethereal. Available across floor, pendant, and outdoor configurations, the collection now expands to include Extra Large and XXL sizes, extending its application from intimate residential interiors through to large-scale hospitality and outdoor environments, where it moves beyond lighting to become a defining element within the landscape.
Alibaglass Black
Designed by Matteo Ugolini, Alibaglass Black reimagines a signature Karman glass form in deep smoke-tinted pyrex. Available in three sizes, each pendant features a sculptural ornamental body that reads as pure, polished black when unlit, and quietly theatrical when illuminated, as the dark glass softens and diffuses the light from within. Alibaglass Black suits hospitality environments, dining rooms, and residential interiors where a bold material statement is desired without sacrificing refinement.
Lilly Alabastro
Introducing the new alabaster glass finish of the Lilly Table Lamp. Designed by Giorgio Silla, Alabastro is a finish that transforms the design into something mineral and tactile. Marked by natural veining and tonal variation, the finish ensures each piece is visually unique. When lit, the fixture emits a soft, velvety glow; when off, it reads as an elegant decorative object in its own right. Lilly Alabastro suits bedside tables, sideboards, and curated residential or hospitality surfaces where material presence matters as much as the light itself.
With each new release, Karman continues to distil the essence of Italian lighting design. These collections highlight the brand's ongoing dedication to craft, material, and narrative-driven form, where atmosphere is built on precision, and every detail carries intention.
