LightCo Pendant Apex Double Linear

Apex Expansion by J. Adams & Co.

Exploring New Perspectives on Light, Material and Form

J. Adams & Co. expands the Apex Collection with five new additions that build upon the collection’s distinctive exploration of kiln-formed glass, handcrafted brass, and the dynamic relationship between light and texture.

Defined by its geometric forms and layered compositions, Apex has become a study in how materials can shape the experience of light. The latest additions introduce new scales, proportions, and applications, extending the collection across larger architectural spaces while retaining the craftsmanship and material richness that define its character.

At the heart of every Apex design is kiln-formed glass, a centuries-old technique that transforms sheets of glass through intense heat and skilled craftsmanship. The resulting rippled surfaces capture, refract, and diffuse light in unique ways, creating subtle variations and depth that cannot be replicated through industrial manufacturing. Paired with precision-crafted brass frameworks, the collection offers a continually evolving interplay of light and shadow.

Leading the Apex Expansion is the new Apex Linear Pendant Light. Featuring four kiln-formed glass panels suspended within a slender brass framework, the design introduces a stronger architectural presence while maintaining the refinement of the original collection.

Its elongated form makes it particularly suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, hospitality environments, and commercial settings where both illumination and visual impact are required. As light moves through the textured glass, the pendant reveals shifting layers of reflection and transparency, creating an atmospheric glow from every angle.

Apex Double Linear Pendant Light

Designed for larger spaces, the Apex Double Linear Pendant Light extends the collection’s linear language into a more substantial statement piece.

Comprising eight kiln-formed glass panels connected by a solid brass central join, the fitting balances impressive scale with refined craftsmanship. The expansive composition allows the texture of the glass to become even more prominent, creating a dramatic interplay of light and material above large dining tables, hospitality venues, and commercial interiors.

Despite its size, the design retains the restraint and elegance that define the Apex Collection.

Apex Vertical Pendant Light

The Apex Vertical Pendant Light introduces a new orientation to the collection, emphasising height, volume, and architectural expression.

Its vertically suspended composition transforms kiln-formed glass into a sculptural feature, making it ideal for stairwells, voids, entrance spaces, and multi-level interiors. Whether specified individually or arranged in multi-drop installations, Apex Vertical creates striking visual rhythm while maintaining the collection’s focus on materiality and atmospheric illumination.

The result is a fitting that functions equally as lighting and sculpture.

Apex Slim Wall Light

Distilling the collection to its most refined form, the Apex Slim Wall Light introduces a versatile architectural lighting solution that can move effortlessly across residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.

Its low-profile design places emphasis on the tactile qualities of the kiln-formed glass and handcrafted brass, allowing the materials themselves to become the focus. Designed for both vertical and horizontal installation and rated IP44, Apex Slim is equally suited to hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, and wet-area environments.

Compact in scale yet rich in detail, it demonstrates how the collection’s material language can be translated into a highly adaptable format.

Apex Floor Lamp

Bringing the collection into a freestanding format, the Apex Floor Lamp explores scale, texture, and atmosphere through a bold architectural silhouette.

Layers of kiln-formed glass suspended within a precision-crafted brass structure create a dynamic composition that changes throughout the day as light interacts with its textured surfaces. The result is a floor lamp that delivers both ambient illumination and sculptural presence.

Designed to anchor living spaces, lounges, hospitality projects, and curated commercial interiors, Apex Floor offers a striking expression of the collection’s commitment to material-led design.

The Collection Continues

Alongside the new additions, the original Apex designs remain central to the collection’s identity.

The Apex Pendant Light introduced the collection’s distinctive relationship between kiln-formed glass and brass, creating a sculptural pendant that balances material richness with refined geometry.

The Apex Wall Light brought the same layered materiality into a versatile wall-mounted format, while its IP44 rating allowed it to move seamlessly between living spaces and bathrooms.

Completing the original offering, the Apex Table Lamp translated the collection’s exploration of light and texture into a compact sculptural object, delivering a warm and atmospheric glow within residential and hospitality settings.

A Living Material

What unites every piece within the Apex Collection is the unique character of kiln-formed glass. Through a process requiring intense heat, patience, and exceptional craftsmanship, each panel develops its own subtle textures and variations. No two pieces are exactly alike.

As light passes through these handcrafted surfaces, the collection comes alive, revealing depth, movement, and changing perspectives throughout the day.

With the introduction of the Apex Expansion, J. Adams & Co. continues to evolve this exploration of light, material, and form, offering new opportunities to specify the collection across a broader range of architectural and interior environments.
